Joint visits with Trading Standards

Croydon Town Centre Team officers, working alongside Trading Standards, conducted joint visits to a number of businesses today.

During the operation, checks were carried out on second-hand mobile phones to identify any items that may have been reported as stolen.

As a result of the enforcement activity, numerous phones were checked against the IMEI database, and Trading Standards seized several thousand pounds' worth of counterfeit goods, along with a quantity of illegal vape products.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle criminality, protect consumers, and ensure businesses operate within the law in Croydon town centre.
